Cellulose acetate is a very low protein binding membrane, less than both PVDF or Polyethersulfone membranes. The membrane is hydrophilic and ideal for aqueous based samples and for tissue culture media filtration and sensitive biological samples. This filter has a glass fiber prefilter of 1µm to increase loading capacity of the Cellulose acetate membrane.
